You may look like you are coping while anxiety, trauma, painful memories, exhaustion or relationship difficulties continue to affect your life underneath the surface. You do not have to keep carrying everything alone.

Healing Connections Psychotherapy provides compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults, children, teens, couples, families and first responders. Our therapists support people experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, grief, emotional dysregulation, chronic stress, relationship difficulties and other challenges affecting daily life.

Together, we can help you understand what is happening, develop practical ways to feel more grounded and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that respects your needs.

Find the Support That Fits Your Needs
Trauma-Informed Care With
Depth, Skill and Humanity
At Healing Connections Psychotherapy, we understand that symptoms do not exist in isolation. Anxiety may be connected to trauma. Anger may protect more vulnerable emotions. Chronic overthinking may have developed as a way to anticipate danger. Relationship patterns may reflect experiences that began long before the current relationship.

Our team draws from evidence-informed and trauma-informed approaches while treating every client as an individual, not a diagnosis or checklist of symptoms. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to understand your needs, identify meaningful goals and recommend an approach that fits your circumstances.

Therapy Approaches Available
at Healing Connections
You do not need to choose a therapy modality before contacting us. We will help you understand your options and determine which approach may fit your symptoms, goals, preferences and readiness.
The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple’s relationship and integrates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory. Learn more about the Gottman Method here.
EMDR is an eight-phase psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched, particularly in the treatment of trauma-related symptoms. Your therapist will assess whether EMDR is appropriate for your needs, goals, history and current circumstances.
Most of us have different aspects, “parts,” or “ego states” of ourselves. “Ego state therapy” refers to a powerful, flexible therapy that helps clients integrate and reconcile these distinct aspects of themselves. Learn more about Ego State Therapy here.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, short-term therapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It helps individuals develop practical skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges by promoting healthier thinking and coping strategies.
Extended appointments provide more uninterrupted time for assessment, preparation, focused processing, breaks and closure. Some clients appreciate this format, but results and treatment timelines vary.

Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy involves exploring and understanding the different parts of oneself to promote healing, integration, and self-awareness. It is helpful for people experience trauma or other challenge including addiction.
Additional Wellness Services
Healing Connections also offers optional wellness services that are separate from psychotherapy and medical treatment. These services may support relaxation and general well-being but do not diagnose or treat mental or physical health conditions.

BrainTap Guided Relaxation/ Brain Training
BrainTap is an optional guided relaxation experience using light, sound and narration. Some people use it as part of a general wellness routine to help them settle, pause and practise structured relaxation. BrainTap is offered separately from psychotherapy and medical treatment.
